
How this book came to be
This book is the best combination of
insights, quotes, tools, techniques from
25 years of experience of working with people.
It started with 7 summers of
door-to-door sales in US as a student,
knocking on total of over 20k doors,
followed by 15 years working with 500+ students/yearly,
same time starting training business,
where now have done 3000+ one-on-one coachings
and training sessions to 10k+ participants.
The best moments, that I have enjoyed the most
during this journey,
have been the small, but impactful
moments of understanding.
The moment, when someone suddenly understands
the viewpoint of their partner better,
understands their kids, family better,
understands their team, boss, clients better.
And the best moment of all -
when someone suddenly understands
themselves a little bit better.
When suddenly something clicks.
Something makes sense.
Something, that has been a burden for their whole life,
suddenly simply falls away.
Clarity appears, where there has been confusion.
Peace of mind appears, where there has been guilt,
beating oneself up and making self wrong.
These moments are usually not loud.
If anything, they often arrive with complete silence.
Where I look at this person
and this person looks at me,
we both just smile,
and we both know,
that something has changed.
Something has shifted in a fundamental way.
And nothing more needs to be said.

For years I have wanted to somehow
capture these moments
so that they could be shared with more people -
but all this knowledge seemed too chaotic and
scattered in my mind.
By the end of 2025 I had used my AI assistant
for over half a year and I decided to give it
my first book, my training session notes,
my recordings, all my random notes,
that have helped me
during one-on-one work through the years..
And when it was all there and
AI assistant had done it's work,
the common denominator
of all my work was clear - reducing self-abuse.
If there is one thing, that consistently happens
during my training and coaching sessions,
is that people like themselves at least a little bit better
by simply removing some kind of self-abuse.
This book includes all different ways
how we self-abuse ourselves and
provides simple anyone-can-do-it methods
to start liking yourself a little better.
And the more we like ourselves,
the more manageable will be everything around us,
let it be our partners, kids, parents,
or co-workers, bosses, clients.
